Fancy Goldfish have been favored by hobbyists worldwide and the Oranda Goldfish is one of the most popular types of goldfish around the world. The Oranda Goldfish comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns.

Fancy Goldfish:

We highly recommend putting your fancy goldfish in a larger fish tank, at least 20 gallons since goldfish can grow to be quite large. Maintenance will be easier if you have a filter on your aquarium.

Ideal pond mates include: Koi and Fancy Goldfish of similar size.

The Blood Parrot is a brightly colored, odd shaped Cichlid. As its name suggests, the fish has a red body and a mouth that resembles a beak. These fish somewhat resemble fancy goldfish and appear to swim awkwardly due to their deformed swim bladders.

Fancy goldfish tanks are best cycled with Comets or White Cloud Minnows, which can then be removed when the tank is safe for the more-expensive fancy varieties.
