Ferts

Aquarium FeedingFestae

Ferts - Fertilizers. Nutrients added to the water to improve or maintain health and growth of aquatic plants.
Filter - A device which removes particulate and chemical impurities from, and circulates aquarium water. See article.

CO2 and Ferts
In this type of tank, it is just not a necessity. There is no doubt plants will grow better with CO2 injection, but it is not a must-have in a low light tank.

As for the actual dosing regimen, the past three weeks I've been logging the amount of ferts dosed to each tank while doing no water changes. Unsing this data I was able to calculate the total amount of each fert needed for a three week period.

Aquarium Requirements: Prefers cooler water temps (around 22 C, 70-74 F), but can handle warmer tropical tanks if everything else is good (ferts, CO2, light).
