The Frontosa African Cichlid is a fairly typical member of the Cichlidae family. Both sexes are characterized by a large frontal hump which will develop as the fish reaches maturity, or attains a length of around 4 inches.

Well, this site is very strange in the sense that it deals with just one species. Not a family, not a particular lake, just one species: Cyphotilapia frontosa.

While being a middle dwelling fish, the Frontosa will more than likely eat off of the bottom. Provide a meaty sinking food of some kind. It's not picky though and will accept flakes, pellets, frozen, and live foods as well.
