Glass catfish, Ghost catfish [Pictures]
Kryptopterus bicirrhis
SYN: Cryptopterichthys bicirrhis, Kryptopterus minor, Silurus bicirrhis
PD: Its body is elongated and laterally compressed.
The common names Glass or Ghost Catfish are certainly apt for this fish, as the skeleton and swim bladder are clearly seen. The species lacks body pigment, and is scaleless. As noted under Diet, this fish swims mid-water unlike most catfish.
Comments: Glass Catfish, also known as Ghost Catfish, are a favorite among children because they are transparent. The bones and even food eaten can be seen.
I have Black Skirts,Serpes,Cory Cats,Rasboras,Swortails,Glass Ghost Catfish,Danios and assorted platys.

This begins with a cube aquarium containing a shoal of tropical freshwater ghost catfish and harlequin rasboras. A lovely archerfish represents brackish environments.
