The dazzling Gold Barb has been a treasured member of community aquariums for decades. The Gold Barb has a mostly gold-colored body with small, dark or black patches running down the lateral line.

You can also introduce Gold Barbs (or small turtles in a pond) to effectively eradicate snails naturally. Another simple method is to poison them. There are several types of chemical snail eradicators available which are based on copper.

I found out quite by accident that my gold barbs are GREAT algae destroyers. They eat it like spaghetti if I 'harvest' it from my other tank and will clean a tank out in about 24 hours.

But basically these are Common Goldfish, Paradise fish, Bettas, Mollies, Swordtails, Guppies, Platies, Rosy Barbs, Zebra Danio and Gold Barb.
Each of these fish require particular tank environments.
