Hypancistrus zebra L046, "Gold Nugget" pleco, "Mango" pleco, only to name a few while among cichlids less known "new world" species such as Krobia, Copora and others fascinated me.

Hypancistrus zebra is called L-46 in terms of the L-numbering convention often applied to Loricariidae. As with all catfish in the family Loricariidae, they are of South American origin.

Hypancistrus zebra
SYN: Peckoltia zebra
PD: Similar in body shape to Peckoltia species. The body is bright white in color with an overlaying, unique pattern of black stripes. This pattern continues through the fins.

They might even get along with the likes of Hypancistrus zebra, if you can afford to buy them.

I had them translated and I'm just finishing up an article based upon my experiences (I have 20 Hypancistrus zebra) and their information. Do you actually know of any "confirmed" successful spawnings of this fish in the USA?
