Instant cycle

Instant Cycle - To Cycle an aquatic system using bacteria (Biofilm) from an existing system, or the commercial product Bio-spira.
Internal Filter - Any filter mounted entirely inside the tank. The Sponge Filter is the simplest example.

- The attainment of an instant cycle comes with its own risks. Any destabilisation of the bacterial colonies in or on the live rock can leave inherent weaknesses in the biological processing abilities of the rock and system as a whole.
