Lilacina

Aquarium LightingLilaeopsis brasiliensis

lilacina in my Dadīs and my 200 liter community tank for 2 months now, it is a very hardy plant and doesn't need much attention at all. All it needs is a space of a few centimeters from other plants.

Group 1.3 : Alternating leaves
Single leaves arranged in a spiral around the stem.
Blyxa novoguineensis (B1) ...

Alternanthera lilacina
This plant belongs to the Amaranthacae family and is one of the more difficult of the Alternanthera to grow. To get good strong growth and red colour, bright light and a good supply of micronutrients are needed (CO2 helps).

Alternanthera lilacina
Alternanthera philoxeroides
Alternanthera reineckii "rosaefolia"
Alternanthera sessilis
Ammannia gracilis
Ammannia latifolia
Ammania senegalensis
Anubias afzelii

The Purple cultivar "lilacina" is named from the purple underside of the submersed leaves. Although this cultivar will grow under less light, growth will be better with more light.
