PD : An elongated, laterally compressed species with a pointed head and a rounded, fan-like caudal fin.

Madagascar rainbowfish are not in the Melanotaeniidae (Rainbowfishes) or **Pseudomugilidae (Blue-eyes) families and are thus not classified as true Rainbowfish. They belong in the Bedotiidae (Madagascar rainbowfishes) family.
Feed small floating pellets and flakes. The aquarium need not be deep, but surface area should be maximised as the Madagascar Rainbowfish requires alot of swimming room. Some sparse, tall plants are an advantage.
