G'day again, may I suggest in the decorative tank add some driftwood to the scene as this will make them more at home.

This is purported to be a hybrid between the red devil, Veija labiatum or perhaps the midas cichlid V. citrinellum and the severum Heros severus, however the origins of this fish have not been revealed.

Jack Dempsey,Midas,Salvini and Green Terror is my favorite fishs (cichlids).

I have two good sized jack's about 3 inch with 6 inch oscars. They're highly friendly with my fish.

The Red Devil is very similar to Midas Cichlid Amphilophus citrinellum, and some sites still list them as the same fish. These two fish differ very little in the appearance however they are found in different places.

citrinellus, the Midas Cichlid. A. labiatus has a narrower head and a smaller nuchal hump than A. citrinellus. To make it more confusing, there are also hybrids of these two species. Most tank-raised specimens are A. labiatus.
