Eastern Mosquitofish (Gambusia holbrooki), is an aggressive live bearing species, which inhabits eastern United States. These Eastern Mosquitofish are the most common "wild type" of livebearers that are available in the aquarium trade.
Western Mosquitofish are undemanding and hardy. Males are usually up to an inch smaller than females. A small, planted tank is required and these fish can stand a wide range of water values.
