Welcome to the wonderful world of nano reef keeping. The purpose of this article is to share my experiences in successfully setting up & maintaining a nano tank.
Whether your goal is a nano reef tank or a 150 gallon aquarium with an ecosystem of coral and saltwater fish, the following five steps will lead you on your way to success.

Single fish make perfect inhabitants for the very popular nano reef tanks which are usually between 2 and 5 gallons in capacity. When kept in these small tanks with some live rock and soft corals, firefish make a very effective display.
It has a bright purple to violet colored anterior contrasted by a vibrant yellow posterior. Coveted for both its unique color pattern and relatively small adult size, Gramma loreto is well suited for small nano reef systems.
For best results with minimum external filtration, avoid artificial plants and structures. Instead, consider live plants and eco-complete gravel for freshwater aquariums, and live rock or sand for your nano reef.
