I had a needle fish before but it died. So I was going to asked you this question because your an expert with this type of fish. I need to know how my needle fish died, I had everything, water temperature, food, and that's about it.
Carnivores, such as Needle fish, Jack Dempseys, and Bettas, are meat eaters. These predatory fish may only eat meaty foods such as brine shrimp, freeze-dried tubifex worms, bloodworms, and small feeder fish.
Houndfish are related to needle fish, average between three and six pounds, and are feared by fishermen because they can leap from the water and inflict stab wounds when they are startled.
I was considering one of the following: silver scats, monos, clown loaches, needle fish, gar, bichir, dolphin fish, or clown knife fish. These tank-mates are ones that I hypothesize that their nature will be compatible with that of a stingray.
