Needlefish are schooling fish so they do best in groups of 3 or more. Its mouth full of rows of sharp teeth might make you think that this is an aggressive fish, but the Needle Nose Gar really isn't.

Another fish not often seen is the Asian silver needlefish, Xenentodon cancila ($15).
I just yesterday bought 3 red scats that went in a different brackish tank with 3 monos, a violet goby, a polypterus, a blue lobster, and a needlefish. I was afraid the needle would be able to eat them, but they appear to be too round for his "beak.
