: Neocaridina denticulata sinensis
A relatively new variation on the Cherry is now becoming more readily available, or Neocaridina heteropoda sp. (Sakura), aka Sakura Shrimp.

 


Neocaridina japonica, or Amano shrimp, grow to be up to 2 inches long and eat algae, but the eggs will not hatch in freshwater. These are best suited for aquariums with fish.

Cherry Shrimps (scientific name: Neocaridina denticulata sinensis) is one of the color morphs that they occur in nature. The other colours can be bluish, brownish, reddish, grey or transparent).
