This anthropocentric viewpoint is partly because intelligence has only really been studied in vertebrates and partly because we see its evolution as leading to the pinnacle called Homo sapiens.

The Pinnatus batfish should not be kept in ANY aquarium, as they will not usually survive in captivity. Tiger Datnoids are aggressive predators that grow large and will eat almost any fish they can fit into their mouths.
