Etymology: Named after John Lombardo, a fish importer.
Easy. Pseudotropheus lombardoi are mouth breeders. With a constant supply of good food the females will be kept busy constantly. The fry are released from their mother's mouth after 3 weeks.

Kennyi (Pseudotropheus lombardoi) are very good cichlids to keep in your first Malawi setup. They work pretty well with each other, and are not overly agressive towards other fish.

The Kenyi Cichlid, Pseudotropheus lombardoi, is an aggressive medium sized cichlid that originates from the rocky shores of Lake Malawi in Africa. The female is blue with black bars and the male turns to a yellow color as it matures.

PD: The Kennyi has a "typical" Mbuna shape. The coloring depends on the age and sex of the fish. Females are pale blue to blue with six to eight transverse, black bands.
It is really a joy to see the Pseudotropheus lombardoi (male), the female Melanochromis auratus and their fry, the female Melanochromis johanni and fry, the female Melanochromis chipokae and fry all being yellow in the same tank with the labidos.
