PD: A high-backed, deep bodied fish that lacks barbels. The head is dark crimson red in color and the flanks are marked with three to four, dark transverse bars.
Mid-sized barbs (up to about 4 1/2" long) include Clown Barbs - Barbodes everetti, Rosy Barbs - Puntius conchonius, and Black Ruby Barbs - Puntius nigrofasciatus.
