Coloration The Ram is one of the most colorful Cichlids. The body and fins are a pastel blue-red to pink with the sides showing a rainbow of colors depending on the light. There is a dark almost black spot under the Dorsal fin.

If there ever was a "cute" cichlid it would have to be the "Ram" (Microgeophagus ramirezi). It reminds one, in appearance as well as personality, of a cross between a Geophagus and a "mickey mouse" platy.

The Blue ram is indeed one of the most peaceful and beautiful cichlids of all. They are dwarf cichlids as they grow to 5cm. They comprise of many enchanting colours but since most are tank bred, lack these amazing colours.

The Blue Ram Cichlid, also known as the Blue Ram, Dwarf Ram, or Butterfly Cichlid, is considered by many to be the more beautiful cichlids.

The "German Blue Ram" has become one of the more popular dwarf cichlids found at your local fish stores today.

Others will ram the heater against the tank side, or pull the uprights from the undergravel filters, and on occasions decide to knock the lid off the tank and try their hand at jumping from the tank and onto the floor.

For many years I worked on a Compaq Presario 4620 that I bought in 1998 (Intel PII-266Mhz, 4GbHDD, and 48Mb Ram) which was upgraded in 1999 (256Mb Ram + Win98).

SC: Catfish (Armored, Pimelodids, Doradids, Loricarids), characins (Headstanders, hatchetfish, larger schooling tetras), cichlids (Angelfish, Discus, Waroo, Acaras, Ram, Eartheaters), gouramis, livebearers that can tolerate neutral water conditions.

The Blue Ram will have a yellow base color that appears on the body and the fins. The tip of the face will usually be a bit darker in color. There will be a black line running through the eye.

When quarreling, they will erect their fins, rub their ventral surfaces together, and ram each other with their open mouths. Because of their propensity to fight, it is best to keep it singly -- that is, unless you can acquire a male-female pair.

Also called a hydraulic ram, or impulse pump, this is a device which uses the energy of falling water, to lift a lesser amount of water to a higher elevation than the source.
