ramirezi_ for some time now, and like quite a few have often been disappointed at the initial attempts to induce "proper" parental behaviors in new breeding pairs.

Microgeophagus (Papiliochromis) ramirezi

PD : A moderately elongated fish with a long caudal peduncle. The dorsal fins stands tall and the caudal fin is fan-shaped.

Another dwarf cichlid second only to Mikrogeophagus ramirezi (rams) in popularity. Its bigger final size (males may reach or exceed 8 cm) makes it more suitable for larger planted tanks (especially for those interested in cichlids).

The last dwarf cichlid I want to mention is the Microgeophagus ramirezi, or Ram cichlid.

The German Gold Ram is a beautiful color variation of Papilochromis ramirezi. It is a social fish that will form pairs and often remains "faithful" to each other. German Gold Rams have a gold body with hints of pink, orange, and red.
