My ray is a Potamotrygon leopoldi (to my best knowledge) and, along with Potamotrygon henlei is member of the so called "Black Ray" group. Both are said to be among rays labeled as "easy" to keep.

Well lets start this easy- I have 18 discus fish in a 100 gal tank, All are pigeonbloods and very hardy I've had them for about 3 yrs.

The Half Moon, or "HM" is a very desirable tail type. It is characterised by having the full 180 degree spread when flared, forming a "D" shape with straight edging.
Each ray of the dorsal fins comes to a shape point. The body color is greenish-yellow to yellow-brown with each scale having an iridescent yellow to gold spot. On the head, these spots may develop a turquoise blue iridescence.
The first ray of the pectorals fin is very prolonged, sometimes it`s even forked. The middle, superior or inferior rays of the caudal fin can also be very prolonged. The lateral line is incomplete or it is absent completely.

Anyway, they are said to come from southern part of Thailand. This fish look very much like B. prima, but the main different is in their mid caudal fin ray where it is extended to form the ace shape while the tail is rather rounded in B. prima.
