Red Platy
The Red Platy is a classic beauty that exemplifies the popular Xiphophorus maculatus Platy. The vivid coloration of the Red Platy makes it instantly recognizable to any aquarium hobbyists.
(35 mm) long red platy juveniles. The only problem I ever had with this species is with the yellow form that I haven't seen in about 15 years. This form had the nastiest males I ever saw.
The solid colored fish include the very popular Red Platy or Coral Platy which will be either a deep blood red or a brick red and the Golden Platy which has an all over bright yellow color.
As coloration varieties there are: golden platy, red platy, wagteil (red body with black tail and fins), tuxeto platy (black and shining scalds on a red or green background).
The tank is dominated by a large angelfish bred by a friend. For company he has a shoal of rummy nose tetras and a single red platy, plus three small Siamese algae eaters and a Hoplosternum catfish, ...
For the freshwater aquarium, you can choose from a barb, angel fish, discus, Red Oscar, and a red Platy. You can control the number of fish and bubble action that you want to see. You can also decide if you want to hear waves or bubbles.
