Red Tailed Catfish are perhaps the absulute most beautiful fish on earth. OK, this is my opinion. These fish typically grow to around 90 cm in the aquarium, but can reach nearly 120 cm in HUGE tanks and in the wild.
Red Tailed Catfish diet in the wild consists of fish, large crustaceans and, surprisingly, fruit. Very small juveniles should be fed twice a day and it is a good idea not to let them get used to live food at an early age.

Pictus catfish have a body shape and coloration that resemble red tailed catfish and have an average adult size of 6 inches, however they are not well suited for a community tank. They may eat smaller tank mates, and need to be kept in shoals of 5+.
