Reverse UGF - A UGF system where the water is pumped up through the gravel bed rather than being drawn down. Theoretically.
The tank had 4 40w full spectrum bulbs, CO2 injection, micronutrient additions, and slow drip reverse UGF substrate aeration. Substrate aeration was turned off with no effect (the substrate was quite porous anyway).
Since the mechanical filtration will have been taken care of already, the reverse UGF is primarily a biological filter.
