Rosy Barbs have an overall Rose or light red color. The top of the body will usually be green. They are a shiny fish with iridescent sheen. The fins are generally very long and elegant. The head is small.

Rosy Barbs, like other Barbs, are little nippers. Their favorite pastime is to nip at other fish. However, if kept in schools of five or more, and in active tanks, the nipping shouldn't be too much of a problem.
