Ruby Barbs are very active and occupy the whole tank area, top middle and bottom. Their colors are brilliant and dazzle making them a colorful and noticeable freshwater fish, perfect for adding life and color to the tropical aquarium.
The Rosy Barb is much like the Black Ruby Barb. It changes colors, depending on its state. Their large, reflective scales glitter in light, making them a stunning species to add to any aquarium.
Or my old 25 gallon Hex tank with 4 Ruby Barbs, 3 Platies, A pair of Guppies, a pair of Corydoras catfish, a school of 6 Neon Tetras and 5 Java Ferns. It might not sound like much but it is beautiful and there's constant activity.
I have them in a 40 liter tank with a glo-lite tetra, t-barb, and a ruby barb. As all of my barbs, they are just pigs.
