Satanoperca jurupari should be kept in an aquarium of no less than 55 gallons if it is to grow to its healthy adult size of 10 inches. Because of their tendency to dig in the substrate, make sure the gravel in the tank is not sharp.

PD : An elongated, laterally compressed cichlid with a large, rounded head. Each ray of the dorsal fins comes to a shape point.
The species we brought back included Pterophyllum scalare, Satanoperca jurupari, Laetacara thayeri , L. flavilabrus, Crenicara punctulatum , Apistogramma eunotus and Biotodoma cupido, as well as some non-cichlid fishes.
