Comments: Scissortails come from slow moving streams in Borneo, Sumatra and Malaysia, and prefer a weak or slow water current. The females have a larger girth than males. Scissortails are upper to midlevel swimmers.
Breeding: Female Scissortails are slightly rounder when viewed from above. Pairs of fish make spawning runs through thickets of plants and the eggs that are scattered attach themselves to leaves.
