Primarily herbivore, it requires vegetable foods such as common algae, algae and spirulina wafers; chopped boiled spinach and green lettuce may be taken.

Spotted Headstanders are unique and fascinating fish due to their way of swimming with their head down, drifting around the tank, with occasional bursts of speed. I have sadly not had the best of luck in keeping them.

I actually had to do a bit of research on Spotted Headstanders, as I hadn't heard of them until now. Apparently, they are vegetarians, snacking on algae and occasionally plants.

Chilodus Punctatus commonly known as Pearl Headstander, as well as the Spotted Headstander originates from North South America. The fish grows around 3 ½ inches in size.
