meeki, I suggest looking into purchasing some Thorichthys aureus, or the Aureum or Blue Flash cichlid. They are beautiful beyond description, and if you enjoy the antics and colors of T. meeki, you will surely fall in love with T. aureus.
Thorichthys aureus, Amphilophus robertsoni, Archocentrus spilurus, Vieja maculicauda, and Chuco microphthalmus are other native cichlids often found in sympathy.
And last, but not least, give consideration to the less common members of the Thorichthys clan. Thorichthys aureus is occasionally found in local shops and Thorichthys sp. Mixteco Green or T. sp.
