Ticto barbs are egg-layers that spawn among a course gravel bed. During spawning, they will lay approximately 150 eggs, laying around 20 at a time. Once spawning is finished, they will usually eat any of the eggs that they find.

Barbus ticto, or Ticto Barb. Liisa, you must excuse me -- It is my new computer eye glasses . I was so distracted that I gave the wrong common name, Rosy barb (mistake #1), that I did not notice the spelling error on the species name (mistake #2).
