The Tiger Shovelnose Cat, which is also known as the Tiger Catfish, is from the rivers and tributaries of South America. It is a large catfish that can attain a length of over 3 feet in captivity.

 


The Tiger Shovelnose lives in large rivers and the deeper sections of smaller rivers. In the aquarium, it is recommended to feed this monster twice a week on a diet of trout, sprats, prawns, and similar foods.

They had gotten along with the other fish in my 29 gallon tank. In the tank there is a red tail catfish,marble sailfin catfish, tiger shovelnose, tiger oscar, and red belly pacu. Better luck next time. I now moved them to a 350 gallon tank.
