Trace Elements: A term used to describe the many necessary elements found in water that are needed for proper plant and fish growth, although they are usually only needed in very small amounts. Among them are calcium, strontium, iodine and ozone.
Trace Elements:
Are a particularly contentious, confusing issue that continues (to my bafflement) to perplex & impress aquarists. Edmund Mowka (1979, 1980) presents a concise, lucid treatment of the subject.
Trace Elements-Not only is calcium utililized by the fish, corals, rock, sponges, and other life in the tank, but many other trace elements are, as well. Careful monitoring of the amount added per given time should absolutely be adhered to.
Trace Elements
Trace elements are included in the complete additives we mentioned earlier. You can add trace elements separately but there is no need to do so since the complete additives that we recommended.
