We need to caution here, that we have had good luck with all of the species listed above. However, some hobbyists may have difficulty with some of the listed Rasboras.

 


The Long Fin White Cloud Minnow is a long-finned variety of the White Cloud Minnow. Captive breeding has allowed the White Cloud to develop long fins that are appealing to the aquarist.

The smaller tank I am maintaining right now is a 50 gallon goldfish tank with a Chocolate Pompom, an Albino Marble Horn Pl*co, and several White Cloud Minnows.

I also have two 20gal tanks with curviceps and white cloud minnows, otocats with ghost shrimp. There are some problems I am having and I was wondering if you could help. My first question is, how do you pronounce NIJSENNI?

The fish are sold in the aquarium trade under a variety of similar names, including White Cloud, White Cloud Mountain fish, White Cloud minnow, etc.

6 - 8 white cloud minnows
If you are wanting a hardy schooling fish, white clouds are the way to go. As a bonus, they are cold water fish and won't need supplemental heating.

You may have danios, guppies, white cloud minnows, swordtails or barbs. Your fish are not wild-caught and should never be released in the wild. Most of the fish we use have a one to two-year life span and will not get any larger than 1-4" long.

A few fish ignore their eggs or fry, and so can be bred in a species tank. White cloud minnows can breed this way, and many killifish will at least ignore the eggs. Baby killies are fair game, though. Guppies will also often ignore babies.
