Wolf cichlids rarely breed in captivity, but there are reports of spawnings when the fish reach about 5 inches in length. They prefer to spawn on a piece of rock with a slight incline and some cover, but will use any rock if there is no other choice.
Aquarium setup: Hoplias malabaricus (Wolf Fish) needs due to their size and temperament large aquariums or even better ponds. The aquarium should be decorated with plenty of hiding places that are big enough for the fish.

Wolf Eel
The Wolf Eel is often referred to as a Blenny. However, it is a pseudochromid (Dottyback). Its common names include Carpet Eel Blenny, Eared Eel Blenny, and Green Wolf Eel. Its body is a brownish color with highlights of green.
