X-Ray Pristella Tetra
The X-Ray Pristella Tetra is an unusual member of the Characidae Family that has a near transparent body. This novel characteristic gives this tetra the appearance of a living x-ray photograph.

 


Description: The X-Ray Fish or Golden Pristella Tetra is a deep-bodied tetra species. It has a silvery to yellowish body, a large spot on the dorsal and anal fin, and a reddish tail.

My X-Rays are one of the best fish I have ever had. They are very curious and come to the side of the tank when someone walks past. Although I don't know why they call them X-Ray Tetras because they aren't very clear.

Pristella maxillaris is a small, adaptable fish that is easily kept in a home aquarium and will eat most prepared foods. It is tolerant of a range of water chemistry values (pH 6-8; hardness up to 20 dGH).
