Zebra Plecos are very shy fish and rarely come out during the day time to feed unlike the common pleco which rarely hide and feeds all day.

Zebra loaches have no special requirements on water conditions, they do however prefer a certain aquarium setup to be at their best.

Zebra Danios
Zebra Danios are surface dwellers and a peaceful schooling fish. Zebra fish are very active, lively and hardy.

Zebra Danios - Brachydanio rerio - These very active schooling fish are also among the sturdiest of aquarium residents. They stay small enough for 10 gallon aquariums and are quite peaceful if kept in groups of five or more.

Zebra's do not mind living in colonies and it is possible to keep fairly large groups of them as long as each fish is provided with a cave to retreat to.

Red Zebras are among the most common Zebra Cichlids available. They are usually bright orange with no pattern. The fins will be transparent with touches of bright blue.

The BB Zebra, or Chilumba Zebra is found along the northeast coast of Malawi, from Ngara to Chirwa Island. Specimens closely resembling M. sp. ''Zebra Chilumba'' and occuring either South or East of this stretch are classified as M. fainzilberi.

Even the common Zebra Danio can become aggressive if others in the tank are smaller or not quite as quick as it is. Keeping just one of these fish tends to cause this problem, especially if the Zebra has grown to and appreciable size.

For a tank of small community fish, White Clouds or Zebra Danios are good cycling fish; Cherry Barbs or Tiger Barbs are good for a slightly more aggressive tank; or Pseudotropheus zebra is a good choice for an African Cichlid tank.

Cyprinids (White Cloud Mountain Minnow, Zebra Danios, Rasboras, and Cherry Barbs) These little guys are hardy. You will find tons of color and pattern variations. You will also enjoy watching their schooling behavior.

Danios Several species of Danios are often found in pet stores, including the Giant Danio - Danio aequipinnatus, the Zebra Danio - Brachydanio rerio, the Leopard Danio - Brachydanio frankei, and the Pearl Danio - Brachydanio albolineatus.

Most snails require harder, more alkaline water with PH around 7.5. Soft, acidic water will, for the most part, result in shell damage.

Florida you can put any type of tropical fish from angels to zebra danios (in other words, from A to Z) and they will do well.
