Coving / cove ceiling / coved ceiling: A curved suface forming a junction between a ceiling and a wall ...

Coving: Curved junction between wall and ceiling or (rarely) between ceiling and floor.

COVING
A concave surface forming a junction between a ceiling and a wall.
CRENELLATED
Having repeated square indentations like those in a battlement on a castle.

Coving - a concave surface forming the decorative molding of a ceiling at its edge so as to eliminate the usual interior angle between the wall and ceiling.

Cove or coving - A large concave moulding, especially that produced by the arched junction of wall and ceiling in a 'cove ceiling'. In a rood screen the concave curve supporting the projecting rood loft is called the coving.

COVE or COVING: a large concave surface filling the angle between a wall and a roof or ceiling. CROCKET: an ornamental projection from a pinnacle or gablet, in the form of a stylized leaf.
