dorter: Monastic dormitory.
dosseret: block above a capital, as used in Byzantine and Romanesque architecture to help carry the voussoirs of the above arcade.
double pile: a house two rooms thick in plan.

Reredorter(lit. behind the dormitory): Latrines in a monastery or abbey, usually placed east of the cloister.ReredosPainted and/or sculpted screen behind and above an altar.
