Recent trends in new-home construction are helping buyers realize their dreams. The most popular floor plans offer flexibility, adaptability, and plenty of room to grow.
floor plan or ground plan
Horizontal cross-section of a building as the building would look at ground level. A ground plan shows the basic outlined shape of a building and, usually, the outlines of other interior and exterior features.
FLOOR PLAN The layout of the various levels of a building, showing the location of rooms, interior walls, chimneys, porches and staircases.

This house of 1887 is an interesting adaptation of Italianate onto a basic Ontario Farmhouse floor plan. The twin windows on the front bay have semi-circular arches on the top level and ornate cornices.
