A trilithon at Stonehenge
A trilithon (or trilith) is a structure consisting of two large vertical stones supporting a third stone set horizontally across the top.

There are seventeen sites in Britain ranging from Stonehenge to Durham Castle and Cathedral, and from Bath to St Kilda, Edinburgh is the latest addition. Sites in Britain are selected by representatives of central government, and evaluated by ICOMOS.
