Jib door or gib door - A concealed door flush with the wall-surface painted or papered to correspond with the walls. The dado and other mouldings are similarly carried across the door.

 


Jib door
- a door which is concealed by decoration matching the surrounding walls. They are often found in libraries where the disguise is the spines of books.

Gib doorA concealed door, made flush with the wall surface and treated to resemble it; more often spelt jib door.GirderA large beam. Box girder: of hollow-box section. Bowed girder: with its top rising in an arch.
