Laminated Glass - Two or more layers of glass with a transparent plastic interlayer between each pair, to which the glass adheres if broken. Used for safety glazing and sound reduction.

 


Laminated glass: Similar to the construction of car windshields, this technique sandwiches a piece of transparent film or plastic between two panes of glass. Typically used for safety reasons because of its resistance to shattering.

Laminated Glass This process bonds two pieces of glass permanently with a plastic interlayer of polyvinyl butyral through heat and pressure. Once bonded together, the sandwich behaves as a single piece.
