SPROCKET In a roof, a short timber placed on the back and at the foot of a rafter to form projecting eaves; hence a SPROCKETED roof.
STACK A flue or chimney, or group of chimnies.

Bell Cast
- a levelling out of a roof pitch over a wall head which achieves a bell like shape. Usually achieved by fixing short timbers called sprockets or cocking pieces to the feet of the rafters. Can be very graceful.
