Recognizer

recognizer an automaton that reads an input string and determines whether the string is a member of the language it recognizes.
recursive 1. of or involving recursion. 2. defined in terms of itself.

Neural network recognizers learn from an initial image training set. The trained network then makes the character identifications. Each neural network uniquely learns the properties that differentiate training images.
