The aphorisms that follow detail Lilly's main considerations for dealing with pregnancy charts. Most of them rest upon the condition of the 5th house, the traditional house of pregnancy and children.

Aphorism: A short, pithy statement of a truth, presumably based on experience; the dictum of a wise man. Applied in Astrology to consciderations involved in the summing-up or synthesis of the various testimonies contained in the Figure.

According to The Aphorisms of Cardan, "changes of the Absides of the Planets cause mutations in governments and laws, which is a point very much to be regarded".

Perhaps my favorite part of Mikropanastron is Partridge's extensive listing of aphorisms, short explanatory sayings, that were a favorite of our illustrious predecessors.

The aphorism, "Pull weeds early" describes a major purpose of astrology. Another quote from India states, "If you want to get rid of a snake, get rid of it when it is really small".

far more important that the horoscopes are "compatible" according to the wishes, beliefs and needs of the two people, (as shown by their individual charts), than that they are "compatible" according to some abstract theory, or collection of aphorisms.
