Aries and Libra mark the Spring Equinox and Autumn Equinox, according to Hemisphere. Cancer and Capricorn mark instead the Solstices of Winter and Summer, of course depending also on the Hemisphere.
September 25 is known as Harvest Home, a celebration of the Autumn Equinox [in the Northern Hemisphere - see note: ed.].
The full Moon at 3 degrees Aries (Exact on Sept 26th at 3:45 p.m. EDT) follows the Autumn Equinox on the 23rd.

The signs begin with Aries (the point of the Spring Equinox) passing through the summer solstice point of 0 degrees Cancer, then on to the Autumn Equinox at 0 degrees Libra to the Winter Solstice at 0 degrees Capricorn, and end with Pisces.
Each full moon is given a different name, depending on when it appears. For example, the Harvest moon is the full moon that appears nearest to the Autumn Equinox, which occurs in late September or early October.
Aries marks the beginning of the Spring Equinox, Libra the Autumn Equinox, Cancer the Summer solstice and Capricorn the Winter Solstice. All these are phases in the Earth-Sun cycle. Thus, the Signs do reflect the Earth character.
