Axial rotation

Astrology AversionAxis

Axial Rotation:
All the planets rotate upon their axes the same as the earth, but the time in which they make a rotation differs widely. See 'diurnal rotation of the planets,' page 8.
Barren or Unfruitful Signs: Gemini, Leo and Virgo.

Axial rotation: The diurnal motion of the Earth around its axis; also similar motion on the part of any other celestial body. v. Solar System.

Viewed from a place on the equator, a star will by the axial rotation of the Earth, be carried along an arc parallel to the equator: hence it rises and sets at right angles to the horizon of that place.

Its axial rotation is the same as its sidereal period so that the same hemisphere is always presented to Sun.

Sidereal Time. The axial rotation of the earth measured by a stellar fiducial, usually a fixed star.

He thought the key to the event had been the arrival of Venus by axial rotation to the opposition of Saturn.

It is calculated via the "primary" axial rotation of the Earth every 24 hours (360 degrees), so that the movement of the MC progresses through the signs at the rate of about one sign (30 degrees) per two hours (i.e. 4 minutes per degree).
