- Also known as 'fortunes' these are planets that assist in a positive outcome. Traditionally, Jupiter is known as the 'Greater Benefic' and Venus as the 'Lesser Benefic'.

Benefic Planets and aspects that were thought to give positive influences. Traditionally, Jupiter and Venus are the two Major Benefics (or Greater)in that order, though Mercury and the Moon are also considered Benefic (or Lesser).

Benefic: Venus and Jupiter, particularly when not afflicted. Some authorities include the Sun, Moon and Mercury, if favorably aspected.
