Campanus - This system uses the four angles as the cusps of the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th house and the division is linked to the four cardinal points.
The Campanus House system dates from the 13th Century, and was popularized in the 20th Century by Dane Rudyhar. It is based on the division of the celestial sphere into 12 segments much like the sections of an orange.
In the Campanus system the sky quarters are trisected by planes (whose edges are colored rays on page 150) perpendicular to the prime vertical, itself a plane perpendicular to the horizon and passing through its east and west points.

For the Koch, Placidus and Campanus methods, named after their inventors, the intermediate house cusps are calculated in varying methodologies, based on different philosophies and mathematics.
Which house system do you prefer (domification). I like Placidus, but for returns, I prefer Campanus w/ precession-correction.

Now we complicate this a little more: There are several methods of calculating houses. The methods are named after the inventors of the system. Some of the most used house systems are; Koch; Campanus; Placidus; Equal; Porphrey; and Meridan.
